Course Curriculum
Beginner
- A well-structured course where students will learn the fundamentals of Carnatic Percussion which includes basic Carnatic music theory, fundamental lessons, and a complete Adi (8 beats) Thalam Taniavarthanam according to the Pudukkottai Bani.
- Disciples will learn Bhajan Accompaniment according to the Adi Thalam structure.
- We will also explore different Nadai such Chathusra (4), Tisra (3), Misra (7), Kanda (5) and Sankeerna (9).
- Upon completion of this course, disciples will be able to perform a Solo (Taniavarthanam) and accompany any Adi Thalam composition.
Intermediate
- During this course, disciples will learn advanced calculations to compose their own Mohrahs and Korvais in Adi Thalam. It focuses on teaching the students about the mathematical calculations involved in Carnatic percussion.
- Disciples will learn a complete Roopakam (6 Beats) and Misra Chapu (7 Beats) Thalam Taniavarthanam according to the Pudukkotai Bani.
- Upon completion of this course, disciples will be able to perform a Solo (Taniavarthanam) and accompany any Ropaakam and Misra Chapu compositions.
Advanced
- In this course, disciples will complete Kanda Chapu (5) and Sankeerna Chapu (9) Taniavarthanams according to the Pudukkoti Bani.
- Disciples will advance their theoretical knowledge and explore the Sapta Thala Scheme.
- There will be intricate calculations and techniques to be learned to accompany with advanced technique.
- Upon completion of this course, disciples will be ready for an Arangetram.

- Lessons are available to all genders above five (5) years of age.
- Classes consist of theoretical and practical assessments.
- Individual and small group classes are available.
- Group discounts are available.
- Classes held on Sunday to Thursday.
- Online classes are available.
- Class duration will be 45 mins.
- Individual classes by appointment only.

- Each student must have their own instrument.
- Fees are subject to per student rates.
- Fees to be paid a month in advance.
